Estate and Trust Administration

Our services include advising trustees and executors throughout the estate administration and probate process, including representing estates in probate proceedings, preparing inventories and accountings for the executor and trustee, preparing federal and state estate tax returns, and other general administration. Our emphasis is on working with our clients to resolve family disputes, when possible, through creative strategies including the use of family settlement agreements.

Special Needs Trusts & Guardianships

We handle guardianship estates for disabled adults and children. We work with families to determine if a guardianship is needed, and counsel families in drafting and administering Supplemental Needs Trusts for disabled children and adults.

Our law firm is experienced in setting up Supplemental Needs Trusts and OBRA (d)(4)(A) Payback Trusts. We can help ensure that government benefit eligibility is preserved while at the same time providing assets that will meet the supplemental needs of the person with a disability (those that go beyond food, shelter, and clothing and the medical and long term support and services of Medical Assistance).
